The story of AFM PLAST begins in 1964 in Jesi, when Franco Bigi and Sauro Mancini founded BiMa and started producing molds. One of their very first products was a bottle rack.
In 1971, Franco left the company (which later became Ima, then Meccanica Generale) to establish a new business in Jesi, dedicated to producing and marketing shopping bags and stretch film. This chapter closed at the end of the Seventies, when he returned to his true passion: mechanics.
In the late Eighties, Franco’s son Fabrizio resumed plastic molding activities by founding his own company, later developing a commercial spin-off as well.
The company further strengthened with the third generation. With Alessandro, the youngest of Fabrizio’s three sons, joining Marco and Federico, the family decided to take a step forward by establishing AFM PLAST. The company continued molding activities while also starting in-house mold construction and additional machining processes.
